After twenty five years working in the Department of Health and the NHS, I retrained as a clinical hypnotherapist, working in the Cheshire area. I hold a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma from the National Council for Hypnotherapy, and I’m proud to adhere to the Council’s strict code of conduct.
I find my work extremely rewarding, as many of my clients have already tried and failed with other types of therapy, and I can often help them change their lives for the better. Whether you’re desperate to stop smoking or keen to build up your confidence, hypnotherapy can help you achieve the result you’ve always wanted.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for therapeutic benefit. People can be suspicious of hypnosis, imagining that they’ll lose control of their own actions and be forced into uncomfortable situations. In fact, hypnosis is a natural and relaxing state of mind, and you can often reach a similar state by focusing completely on a film or book that you’re enjoying. As your hypnotherapist I’m there to guide your subconscious mind but never to force you, and you’ll be in full control at all times. You’ll feel deeply relaxed, both during and after hypnosis, and most people find the process very calming.
Cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy refers to a combination of hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and is an extremely powerful tool to help recognise and change unwanted behaviour patterns or habits.
I tailor all my treatments to the individual case, and use a combination of techniques to help you achieve the best possible result.
Why choose me
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision. As well as being fully qualified and insured, I offer a free initial consultation with no obligation, so that you can decide if hypnotherapy is right for you. I have a proven track record in helping clients overcome issues ranging from inability to stop smoking to fear of flying, and I’ll never give false guarantees – if I feel I can’t help you at our first meeting, I’ll simply say so.
I normally see patients at my clinics in Northwich and Hale, but I’m happy to travel within a twenty five mile radius, and can see you at your own home or place of work if it’s more convenient.
I am proud to be a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). You are welcome to check my registration by clicking on the logo.
I am also proud to be registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). You can check on my registration by clicking on the logo.
Both the NCH and CHNC are accepted by the Accredited Voluntary Register scheme. This means that the bodies I am a member of are recognised by the Professional Standards Authority for their membership and ethical standards.
